Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how KASHE Dev ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, discloses and protects your personal information when you use this website (kashedev.com) or contact us.
We are committed to handling personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies to you, we also respect your rights under those laws.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you submit an enquiry, we collect your name, email address and message, and, if you choose to provide them, your phone number, company name, the services you are interested in and your budget range.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the website, our server records standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and the date and time of your visit. We store only a one-way scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address with an enquiry, to help prevent spam.
Cookies. We use a small number of essential cookies, and optional analytics cookies only if you agree to them. See our Cookie Policy.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive information (as defined in the Privacy Act), and we ask that you do not include it in an enquiry.
You may deal with us anonymously or under a pseudonym where it is practical, for example when browsing the website. We will need your name and contact details to respond to an enquiry.
2. How we use your information
We use your personal information to:
- respond to your enquiry and communicate with you about our services;
- prepare proposals and provide services you engage us for;
- operate, secure and improve the website, including preventing spam and abuse;
- meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations.
We will send you marketing emails only if you have agreed to receive them, and every marketing email will include a way to unsubscribe, in line with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). Replies to your enquiry are not marketing.
3. Disclosure of your information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run our business, and only as needed for them to do so:
- Website hosting provider, which stores the website and its database;
- Email delivery provider, which sends the emails from this website;
- Analytics provider (only if you accept analytics cookies);
- Professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers, where required.
We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law.
4. Overseas disclosure
Some of our service providers (for example, email delivery or analytics providers) may store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. Where this happens we take reasonable steps to ensure the provider handles your information consistently with the APPs.
5. Storage and security
Your information is stored on secured servers with access restricted to authorised people. Connections to this website are encrypted (HTTPS), the dashboard is password-protected and we use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access.
We keep enquiry information for as long as it is needed to respond to you and for our business records (generally no longer than 24 months if you do not become a client), after which it is deleted or de-identified. Client records are kept for as long as required by law, such as tax record-keeping requirements.
6. Notifiable data breaches
If a data breach is likely to result in serious harm to you, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
7. Access and correction
You can ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing enquiries@kashedev.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first. There is no charge to make a request.
8. Complaints
If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first at enquiries@kashedev.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
